We aren't exactly purists when it comes to vintage. We have tons of vintage sewing patterns in our personal collection that we pull out and sew up when we can't find what we're looking for in the real deal; and have had a couple of our favorite Halston's copied in different colors. Reproductions have a very special place and purpose - for one thing, whether we all want to admit it or not, modern girls are 'healthier' than our sisters of 70 years ago, and finding larger sized vintage in excellent condition can be like searching for the proverbial needle in a haystack. The iconic1930s goddess gown, this absolute stunner is a reproduction of a 1931 pattern, sewn in a cream silk charmeuse satin. The gown features curved seams cut on the bias create a beautiful bell-shaped skirt. A scarf ties at the double decolletage in back, highlighting the drape of the gown as it cascades into the weighted train. A detachable tie circles the waist. The gown is fully lined in china silk, and closes with snaps on the left side. Sized to fit a bust of 36" with a waist of 30" and 39" hip, it measures 45" from the natural waist line to the bottom hem at the center front, and 62" from shoulder to hem By Eva Dress, it is in excellent condition. sold
