1970s Bianchi Antebellum Wedding Gown

When it comes to choosing a wedding gown, even ordinarily sane women sometimes seem to lose their sensibilities, gladly forking over thousands of dollars for a gown they will wear exactly one time. And the thing is, the same dresses are hanging there taunting you, in bridal store after bridal store - slight variations on the same theme, differing mostly in the degree of embellishment. And we don't know about you, but every time we attend a wedding these days, our attention is drawn more to the gown than the bride herself, and often we're distracted by the thought of trying to figure out how much dough the dress must have set some one back. Call us antiquated, but we think it's infinitely better to dazzle your gathered guests with your own beauty in a nice little simple vintage number that no one in the world is going to be seen in. This antebellum styled gown from Bianchi is lacey enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, but not so much that it will overwhelm the bride. An off-white, sheer cotton blend voile lays over a cream acetate underdress, with tiers of white lace ruffles across the bodice and waist, abbreviated sheer lace sleeves, with the skirt falling to a lace trimmed flounced hem with a sweep train. The neckline is squared in front, curved slightly lower in the back, to highlight your upper back and shoulder. Back zipper closure. We are showing the front view of the gown at left with the train gathered to the front side, but the front hem of the gown is straight.  Bust 34", waist 26", hip to 42" shoulder 14", sleeve 6",  length 54 with a 20" train.  Excellent condition  sold
