1950s White Kid Leather Gloves

A classically elegant bridal accessory, its hard to remember that until 1960, gloves were considered de rigueur for ladies' day wear. Gloves are still a recommended accessory for formal wedding etiquette, and kid leather is the most formal glove fabric you can wear. . In white split kid leather, these gloves are soft and supple and a nice contrast to all that lace. Measuring 14" long from the tip of the index finger to the cuff, they reach up the forearm almost to the elbow. No size indicated, but measuring across the palm above the thumb, they appear to be a size 6 1/2 to 7. If your dress is very simple, you might adorn the gloves with a silk flower or bow, or maybe a jeweled cuff - or just wear them without any adornment  - pushed down just a bit over the arm. Except for a couple of very, very  faint pale peach smudges at the wrist of both gloves and a couple scattered pinholes, they are in pretty darn good condition - we hope our skin looks that good when its that old. sold
