When it comes to wedding dresses, place us in the 'less is more' category. It's not that we can't appreciate a dress like, let's say, the one Trudie Styler wore to marry Sting, I guess our vision of a fairy tale wedding is just a little less grand. And then again, landing Sting was quite a coup... A sweet little wisp of a dress in sheer, crisp white cotton organdy, the style is perfect for a summer celebration. The bodice has an inverted vee seam under the bust, with a ruffled collar edged in a delicate lace, as are the short, poufy sleeves. The skirt is gently gathered and stitched in rows, ending in a sweeping lace trimmed hem. Snap closures at the left side seam, two of which have been replaced. We're displaying it at left with an ivory silk bias slip from the same era, which is available separately. A tiny size, like a modern size 0, the bust measures 33", waist 24", hip to 41", shoulder to shoulder 14", sleeve length 8", sleeve opening 5", length 56". Excellent condition. sold
