1980s Emmanuelle Khanh Grey Wool Skirt Suit

In the early 1960s, Emmanuelle Khanh ditched her modeling career, turned her back on the world of haute couture, and began creating her own designs, modeling and selling the clothes herself. Her style quickly caught on, and after nearly a decade of designing for other labels - Cacharel, Missoni, and Dorothee Bis, to name a few - she launched her own label in 1971.  This suit exemplifies Khanh's work in the 1980s - feminine clothes that had a strong retro vibe with extended shoulders and cinched waistlines.  In a beautiful wool  windowpane check of charcoal gray with touches of black, tan and blue, the cut is all Forties.  Double breasted cut with a nipped in waist and pockets at the hip. The skirt is a wrap style with a single button closure at the waistband. Jacket bust measures 39", waist 32", shoulder 16.5", sleeve 24", length 26". Skirt waist measures 28", hip 38", length 31".Both pieces are fully lined and in excellent condition. $230
