1940s Lilli Ann Brick and Black Gabardine Suit

In our opinion, the name Lilli Ann is synonymous with classic 1940s suits and the structured silhouette you think of  recalling names like Lombard, Crawford and Bacall.  Suits from the 40s were all about the fit - exquisitely tailored to display the female form to its best - and the Lilli Ann label consistently designed suits which did just that.  The fabric is a beautiful and subtle weave of  brick red flecked with black. The suit consists of a long straight skirt with a faux wrap front, topped by a gorgeous jacket with a black gabardine faced collar, turned cuff, and as accents at the left forearm and above the right breast.  Tailored with nipped waist, it has four covered buttons down the front and vertical welted pockets at either hip.  The jacket is fully lined in black silk crepe, while the skirt, which zips closed at the side, is lined at the rear.  Jacket measures Bust 36", waist 30", hip 37.5", shoulder 16", sleeve 25", total length 25".  Skirt measures  waist 26", hip 36", length 27". Both pieces are in excellent condition.  sold
