1960s Frank Gallant Black Wool Bouclé Suit

Why women are ridiculed and berated (mostly by husbands or boyfriends) for having closets stuffed to the gills is beyond us.  Something horrible has happened when we are encouraged and even shamed into casting off perfectly wonderful articles of adornment to either: 1) purchase newer, trendier pieces; or 2) just get rid it because your SO can't find his favorite shirt buried beneath all your junk in the closet. We want to see a return to the time when women bought quality clothes and kept them for a lifetime.  We think you should buy something fantastic, and wear it for as long as it resists going threadbare. This gorgeous suit is one that has been around for decades, is as fashionable today as it was when it was made, and has years of life left in it.  What more could you ask for?  In black wool bouclé, the  jacket is piped at the lapel and faux welted breast pockets in black silk satin.  Single breasted with two oversized buttons to close in front, and two more at the cuff of the bracelet length kimono sleeve.  The skirt is straight, with ever so slight gathers at either hip, and a side zipper and hook closure on the waistband.  By Frank Gallant, both pieces are fully lined in black silk and are in excellent condition. Bust  40"; waist 36"; shoulder 16"' sleeve 19"; length 20".  Skirt measures - waist 29"; hip 38"; length 25.5".  $245
