Bill Blass was gifted with knowing what appealed to his clients. For one, he hung out with them socially - as a weekend guest in the country, and escorting them to their social events - he was well versed in what these women required from their wardrobes. But more importantly, because Blass was an extremely talented designer. Blass' designs are creations of simple elegance - in his tailored styles for day, and in his glamorous evening clothes. This linen suit is just that - simply elegant and very smart. Chocolate brown colored linen is cut into a curvy little collar-less jacket with short sleeves and a lightly padded shoulder. Two large buttons - at the bust and waist - close the jacket, and two more buttons - at the collarbone and hip - accent and balance the jacket. The straight skirt has an invisible side zipper and inseam pockets at each hip. Also bears a Saks Fifth Avenue label. Both pieces are lined in excellent condition. Jacket measures: Bust 38", waist 34", hip 38", shoulder 16", sleeve 12", length 21.5". Skirt waist 26", hip 38", length 20.5" $220
