1970s 3 Piece Gray Chalkstriped Suit

Ever since Yves St. Laurent introduced women to pantsuits, some of us just can’t get out of them. We appreciate the cover afforded by pants, but sometimes you just need to show a little leg. And that’s the beauty of a suit that offers both pants and a skirt with the jacket. A lightweight wool blend charcoal gray fabric with an off white chalkstripe, the look is classic and sophisticated, and vaguely reminiscent of mens wear. But rest assured, this suit is all girl. A hip length, single button jacket sports a feminine puffed shoulder, and has faux bound pockets at each hip with a welted pocket at the breast. The skirt is straight with a back zip, and is gently eased into the waistband, with a back vent. The pants are flat and smooth in front, straight legged, with a button closure on the waistband. No pockets, front or back, to mess up the clean line. Jacket is fully lined, the skirt and pants are unlined. We haven't a clue who made this, but its in excellent condition and darned cute to boot. Jacket measures bust 35", waist 28", hip 36", shoulder 14", sleeve 23", length 23".  Skirt waist 26", hip 38", length 28". Pants waist 35", hip 35", inseam 29".  $85
