We love perusing the Donna Karan Collection
catalogue each season, and though we share her penchant for black, it
all starts looking a little funereal when compared with her earlier
designs for Anne Klein. This vibrant orange wool crepe suit has all the
wonderful details we appreciate in Donna, but executed in a much
livelier vein. The slim fitting jacket is tailored with princess
seaming, lightly padded shoulders, welted flap pockets at the hip, and a
faux vent at the back. A full length exposed zipper up the front with a
great arty ‘gold nugget’ pull, allows the jacket to be unzipped to
the wearer’s discretion. The pencil skirt is a no-waist band style
with a zipper at each hipbone for entry. Both pieces are fully lined in
orange acetate, and in excellent condition, though the zippers on the
skirt are not original. Jacket measures Bust 38", waist 36",
hip 40", shoulder 17.5", sleeve 23", length
27.5". Skirt measures Waist 26", hip 35", length
