1980s Bill Blass Brown Tweed Suit

A classic preppie wool tweed hacking style, this suit clearly demonstrates Blass' love of the dignified country look. In a brown, greige and ivory flecked fabric, the full, unlined skirt has double pleats and an inverted center pleat with a hidden zipper, and is made to look like a riding skirt. Flat waistband has hooks for closures, belt loops, inseam side pockets and falls to about mid-calf. The slim cut jacket is a modified hacking-style.  Lined, with princess seaming, patch pockets at the hip and left breast, three woven leather buttons down the front, and a sleeve that ends in a buttoned cuff. Perfect paired with riding boots and a wool challis blouse, its just the suit to wear for that weekend at the country house. Made for the Blassport line, it allso carries an I. Magnin label and is in excellent condition. Jacket measures:  Bust 36", waist 34", hip 38", shoulder to shoulder 16", sleeve 23", length 27".  Skirt measures:  Waist 26", length 30".  $125
