1980s Christian Dior Midnight Blue Suit

A design more reminiscent of Dior's dresses of the late 1940s than the over-the-top styles of the 1980s. Deep midnight blue wool/silk fabric in a subtle floral  jacquard pattern, the top is structured like a bustier with a boned and fitted v-shaped bodice that is topped by a wide, off the shoulder, pleated midnight blue silk satin 'stole' collar that is exceedingly flattering in displaying the neck and decollete.  The top closes with separating zipper in back, with silk covered snaps closing the back of the silk 'stole'. The pencil skirt has a higher cut waistline, and a sexy 3.5" rear vent, and closes with an invisible back zipper. Both pieces are fully lined in blue silk crepe de chine. Trés chic and utterly, utterly feminine in a way that is true Dior. Top/Jacket measures:  Bust 33", waist 28", low waist/high hip 32", length 16".  Skirt measures waist 24", hip 36", length 21".Made in France and in flawless condition. $475
