In a pastel blue shade, the hand of this linen fabric is soft and
supple, not stiff and scratchy. The jacket features pink silk frog
closures, with an embroidered (looks like cross stitching) floral
accent in pastel pink and yellow, and piped in pink around all the edges
of the jacket. The shoulder is vey lightly padded and gathered, so we
have a bit of a pouf that de la Renta is known for. The dirndl skirt has
a side zipper closure and has a separate pink woven cord belt. The
jacket measures 40" at the bust and hip, shoulder is 16", sleeve length
is 25", length is 19" from collar to hem. The skirt waist is 29",
hip 44", length 29". Both pieces are lined in blue silk crepe de chine.
There are a couple of faint
stains, the largest of which measures about 1.75" long - at the hem, and
a couple on the lining of the jacket, near the shoulder.
