A sapphire blue and black checked pattern in a wool and mohair
weave, this is the kind of spare little suit that Coco Chanel made
famous, and it will take you from the office to dinner with nary a
change of accessories. The cropped jacket has a detached waistband
that's actually stitched to a silk twill strip between the lower edge of
the waist and the band. It has a pert little collar, buttons from collar
to hem with bound buttonholes, a slightly dropped, but close fitting
shoulder with an abbreviated sleeve that has a buttoned vent at the
cuff. The skirt is straight and has a side zipper closure. Both pieces
are fully lined in black silk crepe de chine and are in excellent
condition, no label. The jacket measures 38" at the bust, 36" at
the waist, sleeve length is 26", measured from the center back at the
neck to the end of the sleeve, jacket length is 19" from collar to hem.
The skirt waist is 27", hip 36", length 25". sold
