There are power suits, and then there are suits that command attention.  You don't have to be a fashion snob to appreciate the force of a Chanel suit. By it's very nature it's powerfully commanding and ultra chic. But it's not just the name, and it's not just the style that make it so. It's the combined whole of a multitude of  tiny details that go into the creation of a Chanel suit - the luxurious fabric, the intricacy of the cut, the workmanship in the way it's stitched together - all small but significant details that make a Chanel a Chanel. This suit consists of a single breasted jacket in a deep dark blue red boucle (a much deeper red than the photo is depicting, trimmed in black grosgrain, closing with eight gold Chanel buttons down the front, and another three at each sleeve cuff.  Lined in black silk, it has a padded shoulder and the trademark chain sewn at the hem to make the jacket hang just so. The coordinating skirt is cut from a black wool crepe, with an invisible back zipper closure, bar hooks at the waistband, and three of the same gold Chanel buttons as are on the jacket buttoning the off center back vent. Also fully lined in black silk lined in black silk. If you're the kind of woman who owns any room she enters, you're a woman who wears Chanel. There's nothing else like it. Jacket measures:  Bust 42",waist 40", shoulder 17.5", sleeve 23", length 25"; Skirt: waist 30", hip 42", length 25". $1250
