One of the most valuable lessons we think modern women could learn from our mothers and grandmothers (okay, maybe Mom was a spendthrift, too) is the concept of investment buying. That you should buy the best you can afford on things that will last for years to come. We think a great pair of boots should hang with you for years on end, and are one of those things your hard-earned buck should be invested in. We hardly think these Charles Jourdan boots are going to end up at the back of the closet or on the 'consignment pile' any time soon. In glossy wine colored leather, these boots have topstitched seaming around the vamp, and a narrow 3.75” heel. Leather lined with a zipper on the inside of the leg, they measure 13.5” around at the top of the shaft, 17” from floor to top of shaft. measuring 9" from heel cup to toe tip, with a width of 2.75" at the ball of the foot, we figure them to be a narrow size 5. Some darkening of the leather, most noticeable on the heel cup and a few light nicks at the toes and one on the shaft - actually sounds worse than they look. $110
