1990s Donna Karan Plum Suede Ankle Wrap Pump

Without intending any sacrilege or disrespect, allow us to say that in our book, Donna Karan is our Mother Theresa of the fashion world, in that to our eyes at least, it seems she cannot make a mis-step. From her early days at Anne Klein, to her current collections, head to toe, her stuff  is consistently designed with an eye to comfort, sumptuousness in feeling, and just plain ol great to wear as well as to look at.  These dark plum suede pumps have a 28" long strap that wraps (depending on the size of your leg) two or three times around your ankle. The leather sole separates the heel cup from suede covered 3.5" heel, which is chunky but not clunky looking. A great look with opaque tights and a vintage Anne Klein wool knit dress. Sized a 7 B, they are in excellent condition. $140
