1930s Fastenberg Ivory Satin Sandal

Fastenberg's was a chain of high-end ladies shoes in the 1920s and '30's. These satin sandals are an ivory-cream colored satin, backed in peachy-pink (think 'flesh' in the Crayola box) leather. Strap buckles around the ankle for a maximum ankle circumference of 9" (that's on the last hole). We're not going to kid you, the shoes shoes are showing their age, albeit gracefully - the satin uppers are moderately soiled and yellowed, and the leather upper is pretty stiff, not supple. Still, you would look long and hard for a pair of thirties shoes in a larger size to wear with that bias cut Thirties wedding gown you have your heart set on.  These sandals are a size 8 C, and have a 2.25" heel, and measure 10" along the footbed, toe to heel, about 9.5" toe to heel along a flat surface. The width across the ball of the foot on the insole is 3.25", and 3 6/8" across the ball on the sole.   $225
