1970s Whipstitched Chamois Leather Halter Top

We have a stepdaughter who, though the same age in years was clearly eons ahead of us back in our respective teens. While we were merely dreaming of a renegade life, longing to look like Cher on the 'Half Breed' album, she was actually living and dressing the part. This fabulous hand-made leather halter was purchased at the Washington State Fair in the mid 1970s. A deep caramel colored leather, it is whipstitched with leather laces and accented with beads and feathers. The detail is phenomenal. Lace ties have a decorative 'fan' where they attach to the vest. The edges are all whipstitched, save for the hem which has an unfinished handkerchief edge. Closes with three leather lace ties in front and two at the mid back, and the leather lace at the neck is adjustable. This should fit a modern size 6 or 8, with a bust of about 36" depending on how much skin and cleavage you care to bare. Deliciously supple, super soft leather is suede backed. This is the sexiest piece of rawhide you will ever feel against your skin, and its in as excellent condition as the day it was created. $285
