1970s Tan Cashmere Cowlneck Sweater

If you’ve never worn vintage cashmere, you wouldn’t know how different it feels against the skin in comparison to modern cashmere. Much of the cashmere circulating out there today is inferior quality. It scratches. Oh sure, the label says 100% cashmere, but does it say ‘made in Scotland’? Or even ‘made in Hong Kong’? No. It says ‘made in China’. Slave labor produces cheap quality. Do you really think Wal-Mart is going to offer good quality anything, let alone cashmere? Anyway, this sweater is spun from cashmere so soft, so lightweight, it will spoil you from even looking at new cashmere ever again. 2 ply camel hued cashmere with a cable knit front, and flat knit back. The cowl neck is soft and deep, so it doesn’t chafe against your chin when you move your head. Flat measurements: Bust 30", Waist 28”, Hip 32”, Shoulder 18”, Sleeve 22.5", Length 24”.Made in British Hong Kong for Sportwhirl, and in excellent condition. $95
