Prior to resuscitating their image with designer Bella Freud a few years back, the name 'Jaeger' had become synonymous with 'dowdy' in the fashion world. But that wasn't always the case. Jean Muir designed for Jaeger from the mid-Fifties to 1961, and during the Sixties and Seventies, the Jaeger boutique was known as a very hip place to shop. This great jacket reflects Jaeger's style in it's heyday. Lightweight cotton plissé in a blue and white Indonesian Ikat print, the jacket has a wide pointed collar and lapel, with a four button closure and a single button at the sleeve cuff. Sports a double vent in the rear, and flap pockets at the hip. The look is very fresh and modern, and a great jacket for Spring and Summer. Bust 35", waist 31", hip 38", shoulder 15.5", sleeve 23", length 27". Also bearing a Bonwit-Teller label, the jacket is fully lined and in excellent condition. $95
