1970s Sweet Baby Jane Nylon Blouse

Jane Tise began her designing career in the late Sixties, later co-founding the clothing label Espirit de Corp, with Tise designing the label's 'Sweet Baby Jane' blouses. The line was hip, youthful and well, sweet.  In a slinky nylon rose printed in forest green on a watercolor patterned apricot ground, this blouse is slim fitting with a back zipper closure running from the hem up to the mid back.  The bodice is surplice cut,  gathered beneath the bust, with stitched tucks over the collar bone, and slim sleeves gathered at the top of the shoulder.  The effect is charming and very feminine, styled in the Edwardian vein popular in the Seventies (think Ossie Clark).  Bust 34", waist 28", shoulder 24", sleeve 23", length 21". $75
