1970s Blue Wool Pleated Skirt with Snaffle Bit Hardware

Even without the added touch of the gold toned snaffle bit faux buckle at the waist, this is one great skirt. Designed in a suit weight wool gabardine in a gray-blue just this side of cornflower, it is box pleated with the pleats topstitched and smooth through the hip, so it almost resembles a gaucho. The skirt has a side zip closure, and the contoured waistband is also accented with topstitching. Made in France for Robert Clarence, it is fully lined, and except for a thin, very faint mark (less than 1 cm) at the lower left thigh, and the hem being let down, it is in excellent condition. Waist 27", hip 39", length 26".   $75
