The print ads for the Laise Adzer boutique in Beverly Hills featured exotic kohl-eyed models in head scarves and gauzy, sensual clothes billowing in the hot desert wind. This colorful patchwork jacket is a study in the colorful Moroccan look that the boutique was known for. An easy fitting open cardigan style with front closures consisting of four tabs- at the neck, high waist, hip and hem - that button closed with a pair of black faceted buttons. Solid red fabric triangles are Patch worked with different striped fabrics in iridescent shades of amethyst, indigo, chartreuse, red and melon, some of the pieces being re-embroidered with threads in the same colors. Hand woven in Guatemala for Laise Adzer in a rayon/cotton fabric, the jacket is lined in black cotton, has hidden inseam hip pockets, and is in excellent condition. Roomy and oversized with a slightly dropped shoulder, the bust, waist and hip measure 55", sleeve measures 31.5" from center back to cuff, length 29", best on a modern size 8-10.
