1950s Pendleton '49er' Wool Jacket |

The name Pendleton is nearly synonymous with traditional Americana. Pendleton designed their first jacket for women in 1949, thus was the '49er' crowned. A subtle plaid in camel, light brown, grass green and ivory, the style is exceedingly feminine - straight cut with large gray mother-of-pearl buttons and patch pockets at the hip. The shoulder is ever so lightly padded with a single pleat in front, the back yoke has the tiniest bit of gathering over each shoulder blade - just a great classic style, very Katherine Hepburn - it looks great belted with a brown leather belt with full brown wool slacks. The bust measures 42", hip 42", shoulder 16", sleeve 23", length 25.5". Excellent condition. $145
