We love cowl necks. If given a choice between a turtle and a cowl neck, we'll choose the cowl every time. With their loose fit, you'll never get that sensation of strangulation you sometimes feel with a turtleneck, and we think the drape of the cowl is more flattering to the mature neck than the skinny little turtleneck - maybe that's why they're called 'turtle neck', because that's what your skin looks like in them - a wrinkly little turtle. This great little wool and acrylic sweater by Rodier has a couple of nice things going for it. First, you've got the double cowl neck - a heathered gray collar layered over a black one; second, a deep dolman sleeve that narrows to a skinny ribbed cuff. The body of the sweater is seamed down either side of the front, with a black ribbed section in the center, and around the extra wide waist, the rest of the body consisting of a black flat knit with heathered gray stripes. If you like cowls as much as we do, you're gonna love this one. Taken flat, unstretched, the bust measures a generous 38" or better, waist 24", sleeve 21", length 26". We're showing the waist pulled down over the hip rather than at the natural waist - it works just as well with the waist pulled up where it's supposed to go. Excellent condition. sold
