The legendary Bill Blass was revered for designing glamorous clothes for glamorous women, but his designs were never over the top or outrageous, always elegant and refined. The concept of layering was essential in his designs, and consequently, you could take a Blass piece - a sweater, skirt or jacket - pair it with something else, and easily maintain that Blass sophistication. This short cadet blue jacket has an unmistakable, impeccable Blass style. In a fine wool gabardine, the design is reminiscent of the 1940s, with a thin woven horizontal white stripe, and a unique welted pocket accenting the waist. Collarless with a lightly padded shoulder, it has a single button closure at the waist and a single button split cuff. Fully lined in a blue and white striped silk charmeuse that mimics the wool, the condition is excellent. Bust measures 37", waist 34" hip 36" shoulder 16", sleeve 25", length 23.5". $115
