1960s Lemon Yellow Knit Bodysuit

Originating from the leotard and the maillot, the bodysuit was introduced in the 1960s to wear under the semi-transparent dresses popular at the time. We love them as a nifty little topper in their own right. Curve hugging, but infinitely more wearable for women who don't have the guts or the body for halter and cropped tops, bodysuits have a unique sexiness all their own. A thin stretchy nylon knit in sunny lemon yellow, it has short banded sleeves and a ribbed mock turtle neck. It zips closed at the back of the neck and has two lingerie hooks at the crotch. Perfect with so many things from suits to sarongs, we especially love it with our yellow cotton Koret skirt.  Bust measures 34", waist is 30", hip is 35", shoulder 15", sleeve 22",  and length from collar to snap is 30".  With a good deal of stretch to the fabric, this could accommodate a modern size 4 up to slender 10. $55
