Vintage Chinese Red Silk Dragon Robe

There is something so decadent about a silk robe.  Slip one on and the thing just begs to be worn all day, inviting sloth and self-indulgence. As a matter of fact, it isn't a very far stretch for us to imagine ourselves wrapped in a sumptuous silk kimono, propped up in bed on down pillows with a bottle of Dom and a laptop at hand, working and whiling away the entire day like Madame Alex, (though our job wouldn't be procuring escorts for the famous).  We aren't really encouraging a lazy lifestyle, but we are encouraging self-indulgence.  This beautiful kimono-style robe is just the ticket.  Crimson red silk charmeuse (though the photos may show it on the orange side), it is hand embroidered with dragons on each side of the chest, and a larger one on the back in predominant colors of gold and orange, with touches of blue, green, red black and white. A simple wrap style with a dropped kimono sleeve, it closes with a matching tie and also has a pair of patch pockets at either hip embroidered with a circular Chinese symbol. Designed to hit mid calf. Hand embroidered in China for Pearl, except for a small pinhole at the left rear shoulder and a small faint stain on the left front pocket, it's in very good to excellent condition. Bust/waist/hip 44", sleeve 16" drop, length 49". sold
