1950s Simulated Turquoise and Rhinestone Necklace

We don't for one minute think we were the only ones drooling over the vintage turquoise accessorizing almost the entire Ralph Lauren Fall catalog.  And as much as we love the real thing, this simulated turquoise necklace has a gutsy, blatantly fake appeal that is hard to ignore. Suspended from a box chain, robin's egg blue cabochons are set in a tarnished gold toned base metal filigree setting, accented with rhinestones. Necklace is 17" long, with the cabochons measuring 11/16" long by 1/2" wide, the large filigree squares they are mounted in are about 1.5" square, the smaller squares are 3/4" square.  The gold base metal is tarnished and dark in areas, and gives this piece an antique gothic romance vibe that we absolutely love. $85
