We grew up in a neighborhood where most of the kids were
Catholic. The one thing we always wanted besides that Easy Bake Oven,
was a cross on a chain, like all our friends wore around their necks.
The religious significance was lost on us - we just wanted one because
they looked really neat, and since it appeared that getting our ears
pierced was a long, long way off, it seemed like could be the only piece
of jewelry we'd probably get to wear until high school. This crucifix is
visually interesting without being overwhelming, like say, the crosses
like Madonna used to wear in the Eighties. The cross itself is silver,
almost pewter toned, with a brass, silver and copper toned emblem on the
front. The gold toned chain has a jump ring closure and is 15" long.
Patinaed and old world looking. It's about 2" long and 1" wide.
