The ladies pendant watch fashion trend of the late Sixties- early
Seventies was part of the Edwardian revival of that era. Many of those
watches were cheap gawdy things that really didn't keep time for very
long, but like the originals they were fashioned after, watches made by
the Elgin Watch Co. (in Elgin, Illinois, USA), were fine, moderately
priced time pieces. This ladies pendant watch looks very much like it's
counterpart from the turn of the century. It's dainty but weighty, with
an intricate scrolled engraving on the front and back, a gold toned
face, and it is still keeping good time! Jeweled movement.
Measures 1 3/8" in diameter, it's suspended from a 26" gold toned chain.
Stamped Elgin Base Metal on the center of the flower on the back, and
Elgin on the watch stem, it's a beautiful, and useful fashion accessory. $145
