Victorian Ladies Waltham Engraved Pendant Watch

From a more genteel, and dare we say, refined era, this beautiful ladies  pendant watch would have been worn suspended on a neck chain or delicately tucked into a breast pocket.  The rolled gold case is lavishly engraved on both sides, with the original owner's initials - MEM - inscribed on the front cover, and a delicate floral design inscribed on the center of the back cover. Black numerals on a clean, white dial, with an inset second hand on the face at 6 o'clock.  Jeweled movement, signed American Waltham.  The interior and exterior are both in excellent condition, the floral engraving on the back cover is a little faint. The serial number - 4545400 - is engraved on the inside of both covers. The watch is in running condition, though we can't guarantee it keeps accurate time. Circa, 1889, the size is about 35mm, patina on the inside covers. $450
