1970s Saks Fifth Avenue Blue Peignoir

The French called this style recamier,  today it's more commonly known as Empire, which refers to the high waist and low cut decollete, both of which serve to emphasize the bust. Any way you name it, it's one gorgeous design. Fashioned in a lightweight aqua poly/cotton voile with a subtle petal pattern, both the gown and robe are lavishly trimmed in ivory lace and baby blue satin ribbon, with more lace at the hem. The peignoir closes with a sash tie at the waist. Gown measures 34" at the bust, up to 30" at the elasticized empire waist, 38" at the hip and 50" in length.  The peignoir has a 34" bust, 38" hip, 14" shoulder and 16" sleeve, and 55" in length.  Made in France for Florgalle for Saks Fifth Avenue, it is in mint, unworn condition with tags attached.  $230
