Long before
Feng Shui came to Western culture, our grandparents collected Chinese
antiques and that love of Orientalia was passed to us. Unconsciously
we surrounded ourselves with objects that created a reassuring atmosphere
of longevity, tranquility and harmony. Whether or not you buy the
Feng Shui thing, we do believe there is something very nurturing
about wrapping yourself in a beautiful, vintage Chinese embroidered
silky rayon satin robe. This one has pagodas, sampans/pole boats and plum-tree
blossoms in colors of pink, red, gold, green and black woven on
a turquoise background. Dropped kimono
sleeve, patch hip pockets and a tie belt. Best on no larger than
a modern solid size 6.Bust measures 36", hip 38, length
47", inner sleeve length 11". Excellent condition.
