1960s Hand painted Floral Raffia Hand Bag with Wood Handle

We think the vibe of this colorful handbag is playful, yet not really as far as kitschy, which means it's totally wearable (or carry-able). A wedge-shaped  bag on a metal frame, the neutral toned woven raffia is hand painted with large flowers in violet, lavender, turquoise and lemon yellow.  The topof the frame has a burnished wooden edge tht is screwed to the frame, and a handle that attaches to the frame with pivoting ball and eye hook hardware.  The interior is lined in beige faille, and has a zippered pocket.  And did we mention how roomy it is?  The bag stands 8" high, 10" long at the bottom, and about 3" deep.  The drop on the handle is about 4". Made in Italy expressly for Kaufmann's in Pittsburgh, it is in excellent condition.  $115
