1960s Orange Straw and Raffia Hat Box Hand Bag

We love the whimsical look of this bag.  There isn't a serious bone in it's barrel shaped little body. A woven natural straw hat box shaped body re-woven with orange synthetic raffia and embellished with huge flowers all over it, with two ivory vinyl tabs hinging the top to the 'lid' at the back of the bag, and another tab with the twist knob clasp in front.  The double strap is made of a synthetic yellow rope, with a  vinyl comfort grip sliding over the rope.  The interior is lined a sherbet colored synthetic fabric, and has one small pocket.  And did we mention how roomy it is?  The bag stands 7" high, and measures 8" in diameter - why you could tuck a small melon inside! The drop on the handle is about 7". Made in the Philippines, it is in excellent, apparently uncarried condition with what appears to be an original price tag of  $8.99 on it.  $85
