Vintage Hermes Burgundy Constance Bag

The Hermes Constance - the ultimate dress to impress bag - is reported to have been a favorite of Jackie O.  Classically chic dark burgundy calf leather is highlighted with the signature gold plated H closure on the front flap. Sleek and versatile, the double strap on the Constance allows it to be worn either long as a shoulder bag, or doubled for an under-the-arm length.  The outside of the bag has a slip pocket on the back, with another slip and a zippered pocket on the interior.  The condition of this bag is quite nearly immaculate, and has been given the once-over at the hands of the craftswoman at Hermes in Beverly Hills to polish some very, very superficial scratches under the clasp and along the exterior slip pocket.  The bag measures  The clutch measures 9" wide by just under 7" high and 1.75" deep.  The drop on the strap is 15" when worn shoulder length, and about 8" when doubled. sold
