1960s Morris Moskowitz Tapestry Bag w/Plastic Handle

Definitely, not your grandma's floral needlepoint bag, the hand worked floral tapestry of this pouch style bag is executed in muted shades of tan, beige, brown, olive, and taupe, on a bone ground.  The seams of the bag are piped in bone leather, and the bag is suspended from the oversized snap close handles by a rod running through a casing at the top of the bag.  The interior is lined in beige faille, and has a single roomy compartment, although the slip pocket inside is almost large enough to be considered a compartment on it's own.  Interior also has a zippered pocket and a small twist frame coin purse.  Measuring 12.5" wide at the bottom, 8" high and 3" deep, the double handles sit about 5" from the top of the bag.  The bag is in excellent condition, with the exception of a small area of wear at the top corner of the bag near where the handle attaches to the bag. $285
