Paired with a cotton turtleneck, the
mohair cardigan was the basis for the original young male preppy
look. And it was a look sported by everyone from Troy Donahue to Brian
Wilson (the Beach Boys). We think it still screams, though we'd probably
nix the turtleneck and pair it with a wife-beater (if you can take the
mohair) or v-neck t-shirt (if you can't) instead. Gold mohair knit,
heathered with touches of apricot and chartreuse, it has gray shell
buttons, and has a fold-back ribbed cuff on the sleeve. Measured at
rest, the chest is 41", the hip 35", shoulder 19", sleeve
25" with a 2" roll at the cuff, length 26". Excellent
condition. $95
