1960s Chester Weinberg ‘Baby Doll’ Dress

We love, love, l-o-v-e this baby doll dress by genius style-meister Chester Weinberg. Silk satin in a glorious huge daisy print of black and medium brown on a white ground. A high v-neckline in front, u-shape in back, it has an empire waistline fitted at the bust and accented by a 3” wide adjustable black silk duoppioni belt that rides just beneath the bust. From there the skirt eases out to fall in soft, flirty folds about the hip. Back zip with an inverted pleat at the center back of the skirt and hidden inseam side pockets at the hip. A 1.25” wide band of black silk duoppioni trims the neckline and hem. Short sleeves with covered snaps at the cuff. Fully lined in white silk, this baby is utterly adorable and in excellent condition. With a black patent bag and heels, this is the perfect dress to wear to the wedding of that snooty old ex-girlfriend of your fiancé, which you had actually dreaded attending until you saw this dress. $675
