Japanese designer Hanae Mori designs lady-like clothes that are known especially for their elegant silk-printed fabrics. Like other female designers, Mori creates with an eye for what works on women, and relates from how she wants her clothes to make her feel when designing her dresses. This dress is feminine and enchanting - a gown for the Goddess Persephone, the harbinger of Spring. Cotton candy pink gossamer silk chiffon is printed with a profusion of butterflies and flowers. The dress is constructed as a straight sleeveless sheath of soft pink acetate with the waist softly gathered and a pale pink silk chiffon layer floating over the sheath. From the shoulder is draped a waist length hankerchief sleeved short cape. Dress zips closed up the back. The condition is excellent except for a couple of scattered snags in the chiffon, the worst of which is located around knee length in the front, about one-quarter of a centimeter in length and it tends to get lost in the folds of the dress. The bust measures 37", waist 29", hip 40", shoulder 15", hankerchief sleeve 23", total length 60". $245
