1950s Taupe Dress with Lace Applique

In a supple, slubbed fabric that resembles raw silk, this taupe dress features a deeply cut batwing sleeve, cut as part of the bodice, with an inverted v-shaped empire waist, accented with a wide band of lace applique.  The back has a caped shoulder effect, split down the center back, with a bow at the nape of the neck covering the hook and eye closure.
