1980s Zandra Rhodes Siren Gown

We're calling this Zandra's siren gown, because to our eye, everything about it evokes the mystery of the sea and the mystical maidens who inhabit it.  The cut is a long, sleek column, with a bit of a hobbled, swishy hem that reminds us of a mermaid's tail. Silk chiffon burnout in a deep azure blue with swirls of sea foam green and tiny gold hand painted stars, squiggles and dots with tiny gold beads on the bodice. Empire waist with a draped, modified sweetheart neckline, the bodice is piped in sea foam charmeuse, with a dolman  cut shoulder and a long sleeve that ends in a pointed hem with a pearl button and gold ball at the tip - simply magical.  The dress slides on over your head with no closures. Lined in navy silk charmeuse.  We have this gown displayed on a dress form with static measurements bust 37",  waist 27", hip 37", and it fits like a glove, so we recommend your measurements be no larger than these for a proper fit. Sleeve from center back to end of sleeve is 33" - 34" to the point, length is 60"  Excellent condition. $1275
