1970s Scott Barrie Jersey Tank Dress and Jacket

Like his contemporaries Halston, Steven Burrows and Giorgio Sant Angelo, Scott Barrie used matte jersey to design some of the most sensual dresses a body could ever wear.  In a gold-hued tan matte jersey, with a hint of shimmer, this long tank dress is simply cut, with a v neck, a deeply cut in shoulder, and inseam pockets at either hip. The neckline and armholes are lettuce edged, with a gold-toned beaded chain trim. The matching open front cardigan style jacket has a draped neckline, with the same beaded chain trim all along the edges.  Unstretched measurements are: Dress bust 36",  hip 46", length 62",  Jacket: Bust open, shoulder 18", sleeve 22", length 30".Will fit a modern size 6 - to slender 10.  Excellent condition. $625
