Is there such a thing as wearing too much black? We think
the answer is an resounding "NO" when it comes to a dress like this one.
A simply chic, long column of supple black silk velvet, the dress is an
empire cut, with a deeply vee'd neckline and a tie with drawstring
casing beneath the bust. The shoulder is slightly dropped, with long
sleeves that button at the cuff. Inseam pockets at each hip.
The bodice is lined in black silk crepe de chine, the skirt of the dress
is unlined. The bust of the dress measures up to 39",
hip to 48", shoulder is 18.5", sleeve is 22.5" shoulder seam to end of
sleeve, 32.5 from the center back to end of sleeve, length of the dress
is 59". Upon close scrutiny, we found several pinpoint holes
throughout the skirt, which cannot be seen unless you view the dress
from the inside, held up to bright light - which is what we had to do to
find them. $245
