1950s Nile Green Silk Dress

In America's breast cleavage obsessed culture, we find it enormously refreshing to see dresses that emphasize what is usually a woman's best feature - the back.  In Nile green silk shantung, this dress offers a demure bateau neckline from the front view, but dips seductively to the mid back, creating an intriguing and flattering view from the flip side. The bodice is close-fitting and sleeveless, with the skirt cut smooth at the front, then falling is a couple of soft folds from the side hip around to the back. Sweetly sexy in a way that's going to set you apart from the rest of the herd. Side zipper closure. Fully lined in china silk, it also has a tulle layer to add a bit of body to the skirt. A modern size 16,  The bust measures 39", waist 29", hip 41" shoulder 16.5", length 43", aside from some discoloration to the lining, it's in otherwise excellent condition. About a modern size 10/12. $185
