1930s Bias Cut Black Crepe Gown with Beaded Illusion Bodice |

The sheer beaded bodice takes center stage on this stunning gown. Heavily beaded (and we do mean heavy) with black seed beads in a stripe and dot pattern on sheer chiffon net, with 3" slits running across the bodice about an inch below the top of the neck line, with a short beaded fringe at the bust. The front portion of the bodice from bust to waist is self lined in crepe, leaving a provocative sheer decollete and back. The sleeves are sliced from the bottom of the shoulder to the cuff, giving the sleeve a little peek-a-boo effect. The bias cut crepe gown falls in a fluid column to the floor. The cut and style, especially the sleeves, is reminiscent of the Directoire-Empire revival. Gown closes on the left seam with a series of snaps, and an attached belt ties at the left hip. Flat measurements are: Bust to 40", waist 28", hip 34", shoulder 13", sleeve 18" length 55". The bias cut should accommodate a healthy size 4 to 8. Aside from a couple of faintly lighter spots near the hem, this is in excellent condition. $875
