1970s Black Crepe Jersey Surplice Wrap Dress

With details that lend a nod to the 'Forties revival, this beautiful crepe jersey surplice wrap is all slink - with no hardware or closures to weight the drape of the dress, it slides on over the head, and hangs from the frame like a dream. A paint stroke print in dark rose set against a black ground. The v-neck is deep - to the waist - with a modified mandarin collar giving it a modified sweetheart neckline. The waist is gently elasticized, with a tie at the waist completing the faux wrap look. The sleeves are gently gathered at the shoulder, full and ending in a banded cuff. the dress has a tier or peplum in front, giving the dress a Forties vibe. The fabric is lightweight and semi-sheer, with just the skirt lined.
