1980s Bob Mackie Pink Silk Strapless Evening Gown

Simply stated, this gown is stunning.  It's a glamour gown in every sense of the word - cut, color, fabric - and is the kind of gown that's bound to turn heads and will hold its own on a red carpet any day. It's all drape and drama - a layer of silk chiffon dyed varigated colors of pink ranging from pale petal  to a vivid geranium - over a long column of cherry red-pink silk jersey.  The bodice is ruched, gathered and twisted in front, with the gown falling from the waist in a soft drape. Glamorous as all get out,  and the bodice is boned, and lined in silk crepe de chine and interlined for structure. Back zipper closure and a slit in center front beneath the froth of the chiffon.  The dress also has its own silk chiffon wrap that measures a generous 108" long by 52" wide.
